About our service in Martinique
Your voyage begins at Le Marin Marina, one of the Caribbean’s premier sailing hubs. Upon arrival at 5:00 PM, you’ll be welcomed aboard and guided through check-in procedures. Meet your skipper, settle into the yacht, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Once ready, set sail for Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia, crossing the channel during a 3-4 hour passage. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, keep an eye out for dolphins and seabirds, and perhaps even try your luck at fishing. By evening, you’ll anchor in Rodney Bay, where you can unwind with a swim or relax on deck under a starlit sky.
On Day 2, sail south along Saint Lucia’s breathtaking leeward coastline towards Soufrière Bay, home to the iconic Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey, lasting approximately 4 hours, offers panoramic coastal views and the chance to spot vibrant marine life. Anchor near the Pitons and spend the day snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, exploring the town of Soufrière, or opting for a guided hike through lush trails. End the day with a serene evening onboard, watching the sun set behind the dramatic peaks.
Day 3 takes you to the idyllic Marigot Bay, often celebrated as one of the Caribbean’s most picturesque anchorages. The 2-3 hour sail provides ample time to soak in the sights of secluded coves and charming coastal villages. Once anchored, spend the afternoon paddleboarding, swimming, or exploring the vibrant marina village with its boutique shops and local eateries.
On Day 4, begin your return to Martinique, setting course for Anses d’Arlet. This 5-6 hour sail brings you to tranquil anchorages at either Petite Anse or Grande Anse, where you can swim with sea turtles, snorkel among colorful reef fish, or bask in the Caribbean sun on white sandy beaches. Don’t miss the chance to sample local treats like fresh coconut sorbet from beachside vendors.
Set out early on Day 5 for a scenic sail along Martinique’s western coast, keeping watch for dolphins and flying fish near Carbet and Bellefontaine. Arrive at Saint-Pierre by midday, where you can explore the historic town once known as the “Paris of the Caribbean.” Visit landmarks like the volcanic museum and ruins of the old theater, learning about the town’s dramatic past. Enjoy a peaceful overnight anchorage, surrounded by history and natural beauty.
Day 6 includes a stop near the famous Diamond Rock, a volcanic formation rich in maritime history. After exploring, continue your journey south to Sainte-Anne, sailing for approximately 7-9 hours. Anchor near the town’s pristine beaches, perfect for an afternoon of swimming, snorkeling, or leisurely beach walks. Visit local markets and savor traditional Creole dishes, such as accras (cod fritters) and refreshing planteur punch.
On your final full day, Day 7, spend the morning enjoying a swim or stroll along Sainte-Anne’s stunning shoreline. Then, sail back to Le Marin Marina, arriving within 2-3 hours. Take time to refuel, finalize any remaining formalities, and reflect on the memorable experiences of your Caribbean journey. Spend the evening onboard, soaking in the peaceful marina atmosphere and enjoying a final Caribbean sunset.
Disembarkation occurs on Day 8 at 10:00 AM. Depending on your departure schedule, explore Le Marin’s charming boutiques for souvenirs or arrange for a guided tour of Martinique to cap off your unforgettable week at sea.
