Cancellation Policy:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 50% of the total rental amount retained as a cancellation fee.
  • Within 30 days of departure: 100% of the total rental amount retained as a cancellation fee.
  • If you paid via credit card, check with your bank regarding cancellation insurance coverage.
  • Cancellation insurance is available through providers such as Ouest Assurances or Pantaenius.

Prepayment Policy:

  • 50% deposit required at contract signing to confirm your booking.
  • Remaining 50% must be paid at least one month before embarkation.
  • Timely payments ensure reservation security and charter availability.
  • Failure to pay on time may result in booking cancellation.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • The rental contract covers a boat without a crew, including company details, boat specifics, rate, and rental period.
  • Clients receive an inventory of the boat’s equipment and have 24 hours to verify its condition.
  • A security deposit is required, payable via blocked credit card or approved methods, covering potential damages.
  • Boarding starts on the evening of arrival, with a formal handover the next morning.
  • The boat is for leisure navigation only, complying with maritime, customs, and police regulations.
  • Prohibited: Subletting, commercial use, professional fishing, or unauthorized passengers.
  • Animals are not allowed onboard. Clients must maintain a logbook of navigation activities.
  • Skippered charters still place ultimate responsibility on the client.
  • The rental agency ensures the boat is in a navigable condition and may require a professional skipper.
  • Clients are responsible for the boat, passengers, and any third-party interactions.
  • Proof of sailing competence and a minimum age of 21 are required.
  • The boat must be returned on time, cleaned, and in good working order to avoid compensation fees.
  • Insurance covers boat damages, theft, and equipment losses but excludes negligence or illegal activities.
  • Disputes must first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, legal jurisdiction falls under the Tribunal de Commerce at Fort-de-France, Martinique.

- KaterBlue ensures all boats are insured by their owners, but advise guests to secure Travel Insurance for off-boat incidents. While boat owners cover marine accidents, guests are responsible for their valuables, or entrust to the captain. In case of an accident, captains must inform KaterBlue promptly. Owners are liable for the lack of proper insurance. Guests engaging in water sports do so at their own risk and should have personal insurance.
