Surrounded by historical allure, local eateries, and crystal waters, Milazzo sets a perfect tone for a bespoke journey across remote islands shaped by fire, sea, and time.
About Our Service in the Aeolian Islands
This week-long skippered sailing adventure is designed for travelers seeking an elevated yet intimate experience through volcanic coastlines, hidden coves, and traditional island life. Departing from Marina del Nettuno in Milazzo on Saturday evening, our crew welcomes you aboard with personalized service, setting the stage for seven unforgettable days aboard the Aicon 75 Fly as we explore some of the Aeolian Islands’ most unspoiled gems.
Day 1: Arrive in Milazzo to meet your crew and settle into your luxurious floating home. Following a comprehensive yacht orientation, enjoy a relaxed evening discovering Milazzo’s castle, waterfront promenade, or sampling Sicilian seafood dishes before a tranquil overnight stay near the marina.
Day 2: A morning sail brings you to Vulcano, where the land literally steams with energy. Take a therapeutic dip in the island’s geothermal mud baths, then trek to the top of Gran Cratere for a sweeping panorama of the Aeolian horizon. Cool off with a swim in the warm waters of Baia delle Sabbie Nere before indulging in freshly grilled swordfish at a waterfront taverna.
Day 3: Today’s course leads to Filicudi, a sanctuary of wild cliffs and quiet solitude. Dive into the turquoise waters of Grotta del Bue Marino or snorkel near La Canna, a solitary volcanic pinnacle rising from the sea. Explore Filicudi Porto, where a slow-paced village life remains untouched by time, and toast the sunset from a hilltop vantage point.
Day 4: Venture further west to Alicudi, the most remote of the Aeolian Islands. Without cars or paved roads, this island offers serenity in its purest form. Wander its stone paths by foot or donkey, ascend Monte Filo dell’Arpa for unobstructed sea views, and rest on silent pebble beaches that feel entirely your own.
Day 5: A morning cruise to Salina reveals green mountain slopes, fertile vineyards, and the flavors of authentic Sicilian heritage. Visit Pollara Bay’s dramatic cliffside and sample Malvasia wines alongside caper-laced delicacies at a boutique vineyard. Later, hike through aromatic trails on Monte Fossa delle Felci before settling in for a quiet dinner under the stars.
Day 6: Today’s leg takes you to the fiery spectacle of Stromboli. After exploring the cobbled alleys of Ginostra, enjoy leisure time on dramatic black-sand beaches. For the adventurous, an optional sunset hike to the volcano’s summit promises a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with natural fireworks. The night caps off with a sail past Sciara del Fuoco, glowing with cascading lava beneath a dark sky.
Day 7: The final island visit is Lipari, where bustling streets and cultural treasures await. Tour the impressive archaeological museum, take a refreshing swim at Spiaggia Bianca, or shop for artisanal goods along Corso Vittorio Emanuele. On the return to Milazzo, pause at Pietra Lunga for a farewell dip in pristine waters before anchoring for your last night aboard.
Day 8: Savor a final breakfast prepared by the onboard chef before disembarking in Milazzo. The journey may conclude, but the memories of remote islands, volcanic horizons, and soulful Sicilian encounters will linger long after you step ashore.
