About our service along the Dalmatia–Zadar coast from Marina Baotić
From the moment you depart Marina Baotić, you’ll be immersed in Croatia’s seafaring legacy. This week-long itinerary explores Biograd na Moru, Ugljan Island, Telašćica Nature Park, Zadar, Novigrad, and Pag - each destination offering its own blend of natural wonders, historic architecture, and local gastronomy. With steady winds, well-marked sailing routes, and countless coves to anchor in, this route is ideal for experienced sailors craving both relaxation and exploration.
Day 1: Marina Baotić → Biograd na Moru
Departing in the late afternoon, your first destination is Biograd na Moru, once a royal Croatian city. Arrive by early evening to explore the town’s vibrant marina, stroll its waterfront promenade, and enjoy dinner in one of its harbor-side restaurants. The nearby Kornati visitor center offers insight into the national park you’ll soon be sailing through.
Day 2: Biograd na Moru → Ugljan Island
After a morning sail, reach the verdant island of Ugljan, often called “the green island” for its lush pine forests and olive groves. Visit the scenic village of Preko or hike up to St. Michael’s Fortress for sweeping views of the Zadar archipelago. Enjoy swimming in hidden coves and dine on freshly grilled fish in a quiet local taverna.
Day 3: Ugljan → Telašćica Nature Park
Set course for Telašćica, a protected nature park renowned for its dramatic cliffs, calm bays, and the unique salt lake Mir. Spend the day kayaking through the sheltered bay, swimming in the saltwater lake, or hiking up to viewpoints with panoramic Adriatic vistas. Anchor overnight in one of Telašćica’s peaceful coves.
Day 4: Telašćica → Zadar
A longer morning sail takes you into Zadar, a city where Roman and medieval history meets modern art. Visit the Church of St. Donatus and the Roman Forum, then stay for sunset at the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun - two architectural installations that play music with the rhythm of the waves. Indulge in local delicacies like Pag cheese and maraschino liqueur in the Old Town.
Day 5: Zadar → Novigrad
From Zadar, head into Novigrad Bay, a fjord-like inlet where the small town of Novigrad nestles beneath a medieval fortress. Explore the old castle ruins, paddle along the serene bay, and taste oysters and mussels freshly harvested from local waters. This is a quieter destination, perfect for a more laid-back day.
Day 6: Novigrad → Pag Island
Your next stop is the stark yet beautiful island of Pag. Known for its salt pans, lace-making tradition, and award-winning sheep cheese, Pag offers a blend of natural and cultural charm. Tour the Venetian fortifications, visit a traditional cheese dairy, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon on the island’s pristine beaches.
Day 7: Pag → Marina Baotić
On your final day, begin your return sail early to enjoy swim stops in secluded bays along the route. Capture the last scenic vistas of Croatia’s rugged coastline and return to Marina Baotić by evening. Cap off your journey with a farewell dinner at a marina-side restaurant or head into nearby Trogir for a final stroll through its medieval core.
Day 8: Disembarkation
Disembarkation takes place at 09:00h, concluding your unforgettable week exploring the lesser-known gems of Dalmatia and the Zadar region.
