This itinerary aboard the Hanse 508 offers a scenic and culture-rich voyage through Biograd na Moru, Ugljan, Telašćica Nature Park, Zadar, Novigrad, and the lunar landscapes of Pag. From Roman relics to untouched coves, this sailing journey offers a perfect balance of history, nature, and sea-bound serenity.
About our service in the Zadar Coast & Islands itinerarySetting off from Seget Donji’s Marina Baotić, your seven-day charter begins Saturday afternoon. With charts plotted and supplies onboard, the route north invites exploration of Dalmatia’s lesser-traveled treasures.
Day 1: Sail to Biograd na Moru, a former Croatian royal town featuring cobbled lanes and a lively marina. Enjoy a dinner of mussels and wine as the sunset reflects off the town’s historic waterfront.
Day 2: Head to Ugljan, the “green island,” covered in olive trees and fringed with tranquil beaches. Hike to St. Michael’s Fortress for panoramic views before spending the afternoon swimming in pristine coves. The traditional charm of its villages offers a peaceful night at anchor.
Day 3: Next is Telašćica Nature Park, an ecological jewel marked by dramatic cliffs, a salt lake, and secluded anchorages. Swim in Lake Mir, kayak through quiet bays, and dine under the stars in a remote seaside konoba accessible only by boat.
Day 4: Continue to Zadar, a historic city blending Roman architecture with modern art installations like the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun. Walk through the Roman Forum, visit the Church of St. Donatus, and enjoy a sunset performance of nature and sound by the waterfront.
Day 5: Sail inland to Novigrad, a picturesque town tucked deep into a bay. Kayak through its calm waters, explore the medieval fortress perched above, and enjoy fresh oysters from local beds paired with crisp white wine.
Day 6: Onward to the unique island of Pag, known for its surreal landscapes, ancient salt pans, and award-winning cheese. Visit Venetian-era defenses, tour a cheese-making facility, or simply laze on uncrowded beaches soaking in the Adriatic sun.
Day 7: On your final sailing leg, enjoy a relaxed cruise southward back to Marina Baotić. Stop along the way for a final swim and capture the timeless beauty of Croatia’s coast one last time.
Day 8: Disembarkation at 09:00h, completing a truly diverse charter full of nature, heritage, and coastal tranquility.
