Chart a course through the heart of the Dalmatian Coast on a spectacular weekly bareboat sailing charter aboard the Sun Odyssey 449. Departing from Marina Rogač on the island of Šolta, this itinerary showcases the Adriatic’s most iconic islands-Brač, Hvar, Vis, and Šolta-each brimming with ancient charm, sun-kissed beaches, and vibrant island life. Designed for experienced sailors seeking independence, this journey offers a harmonious blend of exploration, leisure, and cultural immersion in Croatia’s sailing paradise.
About our service in Brač, Hvar, Vis & ŠoltaThis 7-day charter offers the perfect opportunity to sail freely through a rich tapestry of landscapes and experiences. With every nautical mile, you’ll discover hidden bays, medieval towns, and serene anchorages. Begin and end at Marina Rogač, a well-connected port that serves as the perfect jumping-off point for island-hopping adventures.
Day 1: Rogač to Milna Start your journey with a short hop to Milna on the island of Brač. This 17th-century fishing village boasts traditional stone houses, a stunning baroque church, and two inviting marinas: ACI Marina Milna and Marina Vlaška. Meander through its coastal promenade or climb the nearby hill for sweeping views of the bay. For a tranquil anchorage, explore the nearby coves of Bobovišće and Stipanska. In the evening, dine seaside on freshly caught Adriatic seafood as the sun sets over the harbor.
Day 2: Milna to Blaca, Bol & Stari Grad Sail along Brač’s southern coast to Blaca Bay. Hike to the 15th-century Blaca Monastery, once a haven for hermit monks and now a cultural monument. Continue sailing to Bol, home to the famed Zlatni Rat beach, whose distinctive tongue of white pebbles juts into the turquoise sea. After relaxing at the beach or exploring Bol’s Dominican monastery, make your way to Stari Grad on Hvar. One of the oldest towns in Europe, Stari Grad invites you to wander its cobbled streets and discover the Renaissance-era Tvrdalj Petar Hektorović residence.
Day 3: Stari Grad to Paklinski Islands & Palmižana From Stari Grad, head to the nearby Paklinski Islands. Moor in the beautiful bay of Palmižana on Klement Island. This lush anchorage is a peaceful retreat, with options to drop anchor or dock at ACI Marina. If nightlife calls, take a dinghy ride to Hvar town, renowned for its lively energy, historic architecture, and vibrant culture. Whether you choose excitement or serenity, this day offers it all.
Day 4: Palmižana to Komiža Sail to the island of Vis and stop in the enchanting fishing town of Komiža. En route, make time for a refreshing swim at Budikovac Islet or explore the Green Cave on Ravnik Island, where sunlight filters through emerald waters inside the cavern. Komiža, with its narrow Venetian-style streets and welcoming harbor, is a postcard-worthy destination. Enjoy local specialties such as peka and grilled fish as the evening breeze settles over the town.
Day 5: Komiža to Biševo & Vis Set out early for Biševo, home to the famous Blue Cave (Modra špilja). This natural marvel shimmers with an otherworldly glow as sunlight reflects off limestone seabeds. After this surreal experience, return to Vis town. Explore remnants of the ancient Greek city of Issa, wander past Renaissance villas, and indulge in a laid-back evening on one of Croatia’s least-developed islands.
Day 6: Vis to Maslinica Bay Begin your journey back toward Šolta, anchoring in Maslinica Bay. This beautiful harbor is fringed by a cluster of six small islets and boasts one of the most charming baroque castles in the region-now a boutique hotel. For added seclusion, venture into nearby Šešula Bay. The calm waters here provide a soothing backdrop to your penultimate evening under the stars.
Day 7: Maslinica Bay to Krknjaši Bay & Rogač Cap off your journey with a stop at Krknjaši Bay, a beloved haven between Veli Drvenik and Krknjaš islets. Swim in clear, calm waters and relax on sandy shallows before your final sail back to Marina Rogač. Let the vistas of the surrounding islands etch themselves into your memory as your week of freedom and exploration draws to a close.
This itinerary offers a masterful blend of sailing excitement and relaxing escapes, suited for those who wish to experience the authentic rhythm of island life while navigating one of Europe’s most celebrated coastlines.
