Sail with us from the Port of San Sebastian to the charming coastal town of Getaria, renowned for its grilled fish, seafood, and the exquisite local wine "Txakoli de Getaria." Your morning journey will lead you ashore in Getaria, where you can relish the flavors of local cuisine and wine at one of the town's splendid restaurants. For those seeking a complete sailing experience, opt for lunch either at a restaurant or onboard, followed by a refreshing swim anchored in the bay, concluding with a leisurely sail back to San Sebastian.

Our sailing adventure commences from the Port of San Sebastian, with the offshore route taking us through the bay, leaving behind the scenic Santa Clara Island. As we head west towards Getaria, we pass through two well-known villages, Orio and Zarautz, each offering its own coastal charm.

The journey unfolds with the impressive sight of Mount Igeldo, a natural setting that separates San Sebastian from Orio. Sail alongside this majestic mountain to appreciate its breathtaking cliffs and discover hidden coves, including the elusive Tximistarri cove nestled at the base of Mount Igeldo's amusement park.

Continuing our maritime journey, Orio, a charming fishing village with historical significance, comes into view. It is renowned as the home of fishermen who captured the last whale in the Gulf of Biscay in 1901. Following Orio, we approach Zarautz, a coastal town famed for its expansive beach, attracting surfers from around the world and hosting major surf competitions.

From Zarautz, the silhouette of Mount San Antón, also known as Ratón de Getaria, emerges on the horizon. Once an island, it now connects to the village via an artificial road, serving as a shelter for fishing ships. Getaria, steeped in maritime history, was home to Juan Sebastián Elkano, the skipper of the first ship to circumnavigate the world in the fifteenth century. Additionally, it holds significance as the birthplace of the renowned fashion designer, Cristobal Balenciaga.

Upon reaching Getaria, take the opportunity to unwind with a swim at Markobe Beach or indulge in the rich local food and wine offerings at one of the town's splendid restaurants, creating a perfect culmination to your maritime adventure.

PAYMENT POLICY:

At the moment of booking we require a 30% payment of the total amount. Once we receive the payment receipt, the booking will be confirmed.The rest of the balance will be paid 48 hours before to the day of the experience.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

50% of the booking amount paid will be charged if cancellation is made more than 15 days in advance. 75% of the booking amount paid will be charged if cancellation is made less than 15 days in advance. 100% of the booking amount paid will be charged if cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the experience. *We reserve the right to change any part of the trip (route, timing,...) for any reason, including but not limited to: weather and sea conditions. In case we need to cancel the experience due to bad weather, sea conditions or security reasons, the date of the experience can be changed, an alternative plan will be offered if desired or the full amount will be refunded

Wenn die Bootseigner nicht die notwendigen Versicherungsvorkehrungen getroffen haben, werden sie voll zur Verantwortung gezogen. Charterer und Gäste, die Wassersport betreiben möchten, tun dies auf eigenes Risiko und sollten sicherstellen, dass sie über einen eigenen Versicherungsschutz verfügen.
