Negombo, Sri Lanka
This excursion allows you to try your hand at deep sea fishing or to test your patience and strength while waiting for the big catch! We fish both trolling and bottom fishing. Moving boats pull one or more fishing lines or nets behind them to give a more realistic and lifelike target as bait while trolling. Trolling is very effective in the early morning hours. Your guide will be on hand to help you with your catch.
Trincomalee's season runs from mid-February until October. From October to April, you may go fishing at Negombo.
Meet the team at the Dive Center at 5:45 a.m. and prepare to board the boat at 6:00 a.m., just in front of the beach. We travel around 15 kilometers and return around 9:30 a.m. An afternoon tour is also available.
What is included? • Boat • experienced guide • 2 fishing rods • bottom fishing equipment • Drinking Water and Biscuits • Lifejacket
What to bring? • Patience • Sunscreen • Camera (GoPro Rental available!)
Important Notes • The Team will give their best to get you on the best spot for fishing, but please understand that there is no guarantee to have a catch as wildlife cannot be planned • The Indian Ocean can be a little bit choppy sometimes . If you tend to get sea sick, we advise you to take seasick pills 1 hour before getting on the boat
