This is a tiny island off the coast of Kalpitiya in the Puttalam District of Sri Lanka's North Western Province. There are 14 islands in all. Baththalangunduwa is the third-largest island in Sri Lanka, behind Uchchimune and Mohontuwara. Baththalangunduwa Island is 145.53 hectares in size. Baththalangunduwa is approximately 30.3 kilometers from the mainland.

Baththalangunduwa is an island off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka, reachable from Kalpitiya. The boat ride from Kalpitiya is roughly 32 kilometers long and takes approximately 3.5 hours. Camping on this island is becoming increasingly popular among local tourists. The major reasons to visit this island are the unspoiled natural beauty and the big beach area.

We will meet you at Kalpitiya Harbor and begin your night camping beneath the stars on this little island. On our trip to Baththalangunduwa Island, we may enjoy the refreshing air and the beauty of the surrounding islands. While you enjoy the cool wind, we give you a wonderful Sri Lankan style lunch on another lovely island called Vella. Then we cruise directly to Baththalangunduwa Island. We put up all the sleeping tents and everything for you while you enjoy the waves of the sea. You are free to swim or do anything you like. Then we'll have a delicious fish BBQ that we cook at night, as well as devil prawn curry and fried crabs with toasted bread.There will be a massive campfire where you may spend a great night while enjoying the fresh sea wind.

The next morning, we will offer you hot tea followed by a village style cuisine consisting of white rice, tempered dried fish, and polsambol. After that, we return to Kalpitiya's fish harbour.
